AS FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST, WE ARE CALLED TO SERVE OTHERS.
Jesus fed the hungry and embraced the leper. He spent time with the tax collectors and prostitutes, with the widow and the orphan. Jesus and His disciples didn’t plant themselves in one comfortable place, but rather, went from town to town, spreading the Gospel and serving people from all walks of life.
In today’s modern church context, we often search for what is comfortable and convenient when it comes to serving. At CP, we believe God has called us to do more than confine the notion of serving within the walls of a church building. The Bible reveals God himself meeting people where they are at in the person and example of Jesus Christ.
While financial support is vital and important, we encourage you to follow the example of Jesus and serve outside the walls of the church building. Church Project partners with world-changing, hope-giving local and global ministries. We also volunteer at a number of local non-profits that seek to alleviate hunger to those most at-risk. Serving with your time and talents allows you to see God at work from a different perspective as you connect with those that you might not otherwise meet.
We hope that through this exposure of serve opportunities you will find something that interests you, that you will experience serving others, and we pray that you will engage your heart and calendar toward the things that Jesus calls you to.
PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW JESUS GIVE THEIR LIVES AWAY TO SERVE OTHERS.
Jesus did that and so should those who follow Him. We are consistently investing our time, energy, talents, and finances into ministries that meet the needs of the most weak and vulnerable among us while demonstrating the love of God and sharing the message of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
WE CHOOSE SIMPLICITY FOR THE SAKE OF GENEROSITY.
This enables us to collaborate with Jesus-centered ministry partners to feed the hungry, provide drink for the thirsty, shelter for the stranger, clothing for the naked, comfort for the sick, and care for prisoners. (Matthew 25:34-40)
